Overview
A central park designed as the green heart of its community — blending nature, recreation and social interaction through spaces made for all ages. Shade, water, native planting and durable materials carry the whole scheme.

The presentation sheet as issued — floor plans, zoning and circulation diagrams, form development, section and material palette.

Design narrative
Shade came before layout. The canopy plan — trees, structures and building edges — was drawn first, and the paths, play areas and seating were then placed inside it, because in this climate an unshaded park is a park that is used for two months a year.
Water is used for cooling as much as for play: shallow jets in the active zones, still basins in the quiet ones. Both are detailed for the maintenance regime the operator actually has, not the one a drawing assumes.
Planting is native and drought-tolerant, laid out in large, legible masses rather than beds. It survives the summer, it reads at walking pace, and it does not need to be replanted every season.
